Vessel Related Charges (VRC)

Vessel related charges will be charged on the basis of the Gross Tonnage (GT) of the vessels. For a vessel having dual tonnage, the higher tonnage will be taken into account for calculation of all Vessel Related Charges.

Port Dues

Port dues (Including Pilotage - One Berthing and One Un Berthing) shall be levied per entry for all type of vessels. Port Dues and inward/outward/shifting/warping charges are as follows

Turning around of a vessel in her berth is also considered as "shifting" and shifting charges as per above shall be levied.

Pilot detention charges

If the vessel is not able to move/cast off from the berth within thirty minutes of Pilot boarding due to any fault on the part of the vessel, the vessel is liable to pay an additional charge at the rate of USD 300 per hour or part thereof plus "Tug detention" charges, beyond thirty minutes till the vessel vacates the berth.

Pilot cancellation charges

If the movement of the vessel is cancelled after Pilot boarding due to fault on the part of the vessel, a cancellation charge of USD 600 plus "Tug detention" charges will be levied.

Anchorage Charges

Anchorage charges of USD 0.06 per GT per day shall be applicable for vessels receiving bunker or carrying out any other operation (as decided by GPL) at anchorage. These charges are not applicable for vessels waiting for berth. If a vessel arrives at GPL and notwithstanding Berth availability, the Master chooses not to berth the vessel for any reason (i.e. Option of Owner/Master/Charter/ Agent/Shipper/Receiver), then applicable Anchorage charges as per Port Tariff will be levied.

Penal Berth Hire

Penal Berth Hire charges will be applicable for Vessels not ready to sail after 2 hours from completion of cargo operations. Penal Berth Hire charges will be levied at three (3) times the rate of the Berth Hire Charges as per applicable Port Tariff. The time to count will be calculated from the expiry of the notice period till the Vessel vacates the berth.

Tug Hire Charges

Notes

  • Tug Hire charges of a minimum of one hour shall be levied for every requisition. In case of detention of a tug beyond thirty minutes of the requisitioned time, the minimum tug hire charges for one hour shall be levied along with the detention charges applicable. The above charges shall be applicable from the time the tug leaves her moorings or previous duty, whichever is later to the time she returns to her moorings or attends to subsequent duty whichever is earlier.
  • The services of tugs will be made available only on written requisition submitted to the Port Authorities, duly specifying therein the purpose for which the tug is required.
  • The tugs shall not be hired except with the Port crew and the charges set out in the table above include the cost of the service of the said crew and of fuel.

Declaration

  • The Port Tariff mentioned above are exclusive of applicable Service Tax and any other taxes levied by the Government from time to time, which are chargeable extra.
  • The tariff is subject to revision from time to time on sole discretion of GPL.
  • The vessels shall also be governed by Gangavaram Port rules as advised from time to time
  • Above Port Tariff shall come into effect for all vessels entering GPL port limits from 00:00 hours 01 April 2011.
